Castle Stone Materials

Stone materials created for a small scale environment scene. Cobblestone floor material was made using a combination of Zbrush for initial shape creation/base noise, then was finalized in Substance Designer. Stone wall material was made entirely using Designer. Renders were made using Substance Designers built in render nodes.

My workflow always starts with initial shape creation, then I move on to surface noise and details. Overlaying subtle details continuously I find has been the best way to achieve a more realistic looking material. I make my base color maps using masks and grunges with gradients to add more variety.
